Common Questions About Your Report

Background Check Status and ETA

Your background check is likely still processing. Typical checks take 3-5 business days, though factors like the type of check and location may cause delays.

Results are usually delivered within 5 business days. Delays may occur due to court searches or employer verifications.

We cannot speed up the process directly, but we are working closely with our partners to ensure results are delivered as quickly as possible. You will be notified once the background check is complete.

Errors or Disputes With My Report

If you notice incorrect details (e.g., criminal history, employment information), inform us immediately. This can occur due to data discrepancies from sources.

We can help clarify any confusing sections and resolve issues with our vendor if necessary.

If you believe something is inaccurate, will guide you through the dispute process. It typically takes a few days to investigate, depending on the issue.

Adverse Action Notices

An Adverse Action occurs when an employer makes a decision that negatively impacts your application (e.g., rescinding a job offer) based on information in your background check.

If you receive an Adverse Action notice, don’t panic. This notice is required by law to give you a chance to review the background check report and dispute any inaccuracies before a final decision is made.

Employers are required to provide a reasonable period (usually 5-10 business days) for you to review and dispute any inaccurate information before taking final action.

Questions About The Job

If you wish to withdraw, notify your employer or hiring manager. They will decide whether to cancel or continue the process based on their policies.

If your employer manages the background check, you’ll need to request access through them. We cannot provide it directly unless instructed by the employer.

Employers cannot change the results but may provide additional clarification or documentation to resolve any discrepancies.
