When your background check has information that you believe is wrong, incomplete or inaccurate, please contact us and file a dispute.
Please visit our support center and submit a ticket, or send an email to support@turn.ai. In your message please be sure to indicate which part(s) of the report are being disputed. We also ask that you provide any supporting information that will assist in our investigation.
Once we receive your information, Turn will re-investigate your claim and correct the report if necessary.
Please keep in mind, that if the information on the report is correct, but you would like to provide additional context, detail or more information, please contact the company that ordered the background check.
Once you file a dispute, the agents at Turn will review all the information you shared and re-investigate.
Turn has 30 days to re-investigate your claim. Depending on the case, if the charges are reported as inaccurate, we may require a copy of your ID or other supporting documents.
When the re-investigation is complete and if we are able to confirm that the information is inaccurate we will modify your report and provide an updated version to you and your potential employer. If we find that the information is accurate, the report will remain unchanged but will be under consideration of your potential employer.
If your background check is currently processing and we reached out to you because we need additional information, please reply directly to the email or text message that you received.
If your background check is currently processing and we haven't reached out you, but you would like to provide an update or correction to the information you previously submitted, please contact one of our agents through live chat or through our support center.
In the event that your background check is complete, but you believe that the information included is inaccurate, please submit a dispute through our support center. Please include the information that you would like reviewed along with any supporting information regarding the claim (you can add any file or image as needed). Our team will conduct a re-investigation and get back to you as soon as possible.
You can trust Turn. In addition to being a registered background check company with the Professional Background Screening Association (PBSA), we have several layers of security in place in order to keep your information as secure as possible.
We ruthlessly automate, with a focus on infrastructure as code, security as part of the build process, and rigorous, continuous monitoring. Your PII information is encrypted at rest with AES 256 bit encryption, and in transit to our web and platforms via HTTPS. On the web we use extended validation certificates to prove the authenticity of our web services and to prevent man-in-the-middle attacks. The ‘green bar’ in your web browser is the indication of this certificate. We use strong cryptography with 256-bit keys and practice consistent key rotation.
Once access to consumer PII has been granted, it is not immediately available to the Turn partner. Turn employs an additional level of verification and auditing when the specific PII details (SSN, phone number, email, driver’s license number) are specifically requested. This minimizes the chances for identity theft through screen scraping, hidden photography, casual observation etc.

However, you can contact your potential employer’s hiring manager to provide them with any mitigating circumstances or evidence or rehabilitation

The address history shown on your report was obtained using your Social Security Number. When an SSN Trace is ran through public records, we are provided with a list of previous addresses that are associated with your unique SSN.
If the address is old or incorrect, it's likely that the public record database hasn't been updated.
In order for us to update your information, please contact one of our agents via live chat or send us a message through our support center. Please provide us with your complete address, full name and the email address associated with your background check.
The company that you applied for will receive the the same report that is provided to you when your background check is complete.
Depending on the role that you applied for, each employer has designed its own set of requirements and restrictions that are relevant to the specific posting. Turn Technologies provides the background check, but does not determine the criteria that a company uses to make a hiring decision.
